Wintertide Stronghold [Part 05]

Wintry snow falls over cold plateaus of ice and frost. The harbor behind the stronghold is broken up by jagged shards and stretches of unfrozen water. Falling in could mean more than frostbite. Some say a monstrous ruler still sleeps beneath the ice.

Two towers guard the harbor, one on each side of a central gate leading into the stronghold. Each holds two guards. At dusk, the shifts change, ending with a patrol around the harbor before they head through the gate.

There is exactly one minute and twenty-two seconds during the switch when they are most vulnerable. If you’re going to strike or sneak in, this is the time. One wrong move, and you’ll be cornered between the wall and the freezing sea.
