The School of Sorcery [Part 07]

The doors open once more as hundreds of students, from familiar faces to wide-eyed newcomers, pour into the prestigious halls and hurry toward their assigned houses for curriculum briefings.

Among them is Adam, a halfling short even by halfling standards. His peers call him “the Quarterling,” a nickname he does his best to ignore. Wearing the school’s emblem proudly on his chest, Adam comes from humble beginnings and is the pride of his small village. Eager to get ahead, he makes a beeline for the Study Corner, oversized red cloak sweeping the floor as he carries a stack of books.

Entering the Study Corner is no simple task. One must first charm the gatekeeper. Luckily, what Adam lacks in height, he makes up for in charm.

Inside, long wooden tables sit beneath tall windows, while shelves above hold countless books on arcane history and powerful sorcery. Adam grabs one at random and smiles.
“Time to dive in.”
