The Great Library [Part 04]

VARIATIONS

DESCRIPTION

From the cold marble floors and towering bookshelves to the statues of famous scholars, every inch of the Great Library carries traces of its former grandeur. The halls reflect its variety. On one end sits Monumental Discoveries about the Astral Plane by planar adventurer John Smith. On the other rests Fantastical Stars and How to Perceive Them by Jane of the Starseeker family. Both belong to the study of astrology and that which transcends our plane of existence, a title as ambitious as it is long.

The study is usually quiet, broken only by the occasional squeak or confused “what!?” from so-called confusionists. A term coined by the librarian for those lost among the more mystifying tomes, which is hardly surprising given their contents.

Still, the library has something for everyone. Even confusionists can turn to Grace’s Plain & Planar for Those of Lesser Minds. Despite the offensive title, it is actually quite a good read.
